Nearly 26,000 bomb alerts were issued in Israel in the past year alone. Accurate data on this, along with the location of the alerts, is made available online on the Israel Alarm Monitoring Dashboard website.
Israel’s territory has been vulnerable to missile attacks for years, so the country has an advanced air defence system to intercept and destroy various types of missiles, as well as drones. This is complemented by an alarm system and a network of shelters to ensure the safety of the population.
The website at israelalarms.com posts up-to-date information about the alarms, along with their location on a map. The top of the page displays the most important data: the number of alerts on a given day, in the last week and since 7 September 2023. We also find out how far away from the border the sirens have sounded in the last week and the maximum number of alerts per hour. We can also view historical data for selected time periods. This is complemented by charts in which we can see, among other things, in which cities or regions the sirens are most frequently blaring.
A map of bomb alarms in Israel is also available on the Tableau Public website.
